No flubs detected...you got Merle here's another version of Merle's Workin' Man Blues from MerleFest (*the other Merle) by Presley Barker with no fear of going for it. Traphill, North Carolina, native, from my neck of the woods more or less.

Great story and looking forward to reading more about Marfa and the rest of Texas. Did some time there myself and writing about it. Valentine's Bar breaking out the guitar... being cool about the semi-lost handbag and making it a feel-good story. You're a good guy for sure. Vanishing Postcards is a very nicely produced podcast you should check out all about lost Texas. Made my day!

Yep, no fear. My breakdown occurred in the first video the barkeep took which I did not post. Embarrassing. Thanks for the blues piece.

Happy ending, and glad to find you omni-talented. Merle is hard to beat in the c/w realm. RIght up there with Jones, Jennings, Nelson.

Not to mention Townes van Zant, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Blaze Foley. I play songs by all of em.

Townes especially. Has there ever been a better country song than "Pancho and Lefty"? "Tecumseh Valleyt" is a too-underknown gem. I could go on. Effed up life but genius production.

His life story is often too much for me. I have read one biography and might read one more. But what a tragedy. He is the best.
